See EnterpriseWhat is e-Tax Korea?
The Korean e-Tax invoice (전자세금계산서) is the electronic tax document of the National Tax Service (NTS). It is issued through the Hometax portal or an accredited provider; the 24-digit approval number comes from the NTS, which is why no valid invoice can be produced outside that route. Two properties shape the reading. The document class sits in the first two digits of the type code and decides the tax treatment: 세금계산서 is subject to VAT, 계산서 is exempt, and amendments or cancellations each form their own class — a cancellation carries negative amounts including negative tax and points back at the original document. And company names and addresses are written in Hangul with no latin fallback field: Docuflair carries the characters through unchanged rather than inventing a transliteration. The format knows no unit of measure.
