See EnterpriseWhat is CFDI Mexico?
The CFDI (Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet) is the mandatory format of Mexico's tax authority SAT, binding on virtually every domestic transaction since 2014; version 4.0 has applied since 2022. An invoice only becomes valid once an authorised provider stamps it with the official UUID — outside that route it cannot be produced. For reading, the CFDI is the most accommodating of all non-European formats: tax is added to the net amount rather than included, and units of measure already follow UN/ECE Recommendation 20. Only the addresses need completing — the format carries nothing but postcodes for either party.
