    What is SIFEN Paraguay?

    The Paraguayan documento electrónico is the mandatory format of the Sistema Integrado de Facturación Electrónica Nacional (SIFEN) run by the tax authority SET, phased in for all businesses since 2022. Every document carries a 44-character key (CDC) and is cleared by SIFEN — outside that system it cannot be produced. One property matters when reading it: line prices are gross, VAT included; the taxable base sits in a field of its own. Docuflair therefore does not compute backwards but takes the stated bases as they are, keeping the five and ten per cent rates properly apart.
